Fusion 360

SUMMARY

To learn a design tool, Autodesk Fusion 360, in the Modelado 3D para Producción Digital class, it was proposed to carry out the modeling of a mechanical pencil and a sewing machine in an environment from technical drawings provided by the professors.

Mechanical pencil

Based on technical drawings of mechanical pencil components, the premise was to make the modeling in Fusion 360, make new corresponding technical drawings, and create a basic rendering of the pencil.

3D MODELING

Based on the technical drawings sent by the professors of the class, I proceeded to create the model of the mechanical pencil and the corresponding joints between components.

TECHNICAL DRAWINGS

The technical drawings I made were: isometric views, general views, two pencil cuts, one explosion with a table of materials, and views of each component; in the latter, it was specified that the priority was to carry them out optimizing the space on each sheet.

RENDER

Because the main objective was to carry out the modeling of the mechanical pencil, the renders I made were basic, since we would delve into rendering later for the sewing machine.

Sewing machine

From technical drawings of the components of a sewing machine, the premise is to make a 3D model in Fusion 360, with the necessary joints to make the movement of sewing and create renders of a scene.

TECHNICAL DRAWINGS

The technical drawings contained the necessary information to create the sewing machine, including a sheet metal component.

FUNCTIONING SEWING MACHINE MODEL

Once the modeling was done and contained the corresponding joints between pieces, the needle of the sewing machine can go up and down depending on the pedal.
